Gary Bassham

Gary has been doing Interim Pastor positions since 2007. Prior to that he had been in the pulpit long term in Salem, Albany and Ramona, California. He has been involved in church planting as well. He was instrumental in the formation of Lake Bible Church in 1979 when it was started as Lake Baptist church. He was senior pastor at Rivergrove Baptist and merged with Lake Grove baptist to form Lake Baptist church. He and the other pastor shared speaking duties during that time. Gary graduated from Western and loves to preach. He has has been very successful throughout his career and in particular in these last years as an interim pastor guiding churches through various transitions but never swaying from his vision of making sure Jesus is at the center of the mission and the vision. Gary has been married to DeDe for fifty-five years and has four children, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. They continue to be involved in all of their kid’s lives which keeps them very busy. Lake Bible Church is very excited to have him lead us through this next season of transition.
