Psalms
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” “Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Search me O God, and know my heart!” Some of the most beloved and well-known verses of scripture can be found in the book of Psalms. They are, at times, also words that provide great comfort, confidence, and reminders that we can and should be humble before the living God, thankful for His watchcare, full of gratefulness for His presence and direction in our lives.
Our Saturday evening ladies group is doing an inductive study of selected Psalms. This in-depth look at scripture is slow paced and intentional. Using our Bibles, we give thought to the text line by line, word by word, insight upon insight. Each week we share a meal, enjoy wonderful fellowship, and share insights from our time in God’s Word. Our study is held in Nerissa’s home, located in a neighborhood near the church. We will wrap up this look at Psalms by using a published 12-week study of Psalm 119 by Pam Gillespie.
This study group is not intended to take the place of Sunday onsite worship. We ask that all who attend this study be faithful and fully committed to also attending church in the morning.
